Biography

PATRICIA PRESCOTT SUEME
Patricia grew up surrounded by creative people. She was educated in fine art and graphic design at the Claremont Colleges and Art Center College of Design. While maintaining a successful graphic design career, she returned to oil painting in 2000. Patricia’s first oil painting exhibition at Lisa Coscino Gallery (Pacific Grove), sold out. For several years she participated in solo and group shows and became noted for her style; a graphic eye for pared down compositions and an obsession with subtleties of layering color... Fast forward 12 years after raising two boys… She opens a vintage box of pastels inherited from her grandmother, and a new obsession begins! Soft pastel brings a freedom to devote time daily, experimenting with unusual tools and techniques with the goal of bringing freshness and her distinctive point of view to this exquisite medium. She shares this passion by teaching workshops and offering techniques through Instagram, hoping every artist will appreciate the amazing versatility of pastel.
